Prof AbuBakarBahajhead of Energy andClimate Change Division at the University of Southampton, Chaired the 3rd Africa Mini Grids Summit 2016 in Dar Es Salaam on 28th and 29th November 2016.  This summit highlighted the business case for mini grids in Africa analysing the mechanics behind various implementation models along with insights on how to accelerate the industry. Government officials, private sector players and investors shared their insights, solutions and case studies, and engaged in robust panel debates over how to continue developing successful mini grid projects throughout Africa.
